Our Ultrasound department is ACR Accredited, our Accreditations include; General, Gynecological and Vascular. Our technologists are certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). All Ultrasound results are interpreted by SouthCoast Radiologist.

New Bedford Medical Associates Receives Second ACR Accreditation

New Bedford Medical Associates (NBMA) is proud to announce that The American College of Radiology (ACR) has awarded its Ultrasound facility Re-Accreditation until July 2016 for Gynecological, General & Vascular Ultrasound Services including Peripheral Vascular and Cerebrovascular studies.

The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. The ACR assesses the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment.

Responsible for this accreditation was Donna Graziano R.T.R.M.CT QM, a long-term employee of NBMA with thirty-six years experience in the radiology field. George Cavros, RDMS, is NBMA's registered diagnostic medical sonographer with 9 years experience in the radiology field and also assisted with this accreditation process.

The Ultrasound Department accreditation is the second awarded to NBMA by the American College of Radiology. In 2008, NBMA received ACR Accreditation for its CT Scan facility.
