Dr. Magoon received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India and also did residency in Internal Medicine from Delhi University, India. He completed his internship and residency at Good Samaritan Hospital Baltimore, Maryland, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Magoon subsequently undertook a fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension at Long Island Jewish Hospital, North Shore-LIJ Health System, New York, and was a chief fellow in the division.
Dr. Magoon has been active in basic science research and has authored case reports and a book chapter. He is also a member of Royal College of Physicians, London, U.K.

Dr. Veerapaneni received his medical degree from Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College, Meerut University, India. He also completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Nephrology & Hypertension fellowship from Suny Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn at State University of New York.

Dr. Manzo began her medical education at Brown University and also studied at the Boston University School of Public Health. She completed her medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies in 2005. She specializes in internal medicine with a sub-specialty of critical care. Dr. Manzo completed a residency in Internal Medicine at UMass Memorial Medical Center and completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island. She is a certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Amanda graduated Magna cum Laude from Assumption College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She obtained her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Her clinical clerkships included working at Tufts Medical Center, Saint Vincent Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center, Caritas Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center and most recently at Evolve Women’s Health at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
She has worked in the medical field since 2006 and has held positions as an emergency room technician and a lab assistant. Kevin received a Masters Degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from U-Mass, Dartmouth in 2005 and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from that university.

Dr. Stamoulis had practiced as a neurologist for Blue Ridge Neurology Association in Tennessee until 2003, where he developed and headed the stroke center at Indian Path Hospital. Most recently, he practiced with Neurology Associates in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. From 2004 to 2009, he held the position of Medical Director for the Stroke Centers at both St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and the Stroke Council.

Dr. Sharma received his medical degree from the University of Delhi-Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India. His internship and residency were completed at Easton, Hospital, Easton, Pennsylvania, an affiliate of Drexel University College of Medicine. He subsequently undertook a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Following completion of this fellowship he entered a two-year Fellowship in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester.
Since completing his training in 2006 he has served as clinical assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio and as an Endocrinologist at the Joslin Diabetes Center affiliate at Southview Hospital and Specialty Medicine in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Sharma’s practice is limited to Endocrinology, i.e. diabetes, thyroid disorders, endocrine disorders, and other metabolic problems. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

New Bedford Medical receives ACR Accretidation
New Bedford Medical Associates has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in CAT Scanning as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.
The ACR, headquartered in Reston, MA, awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
Donna Graziano, R.T.R.M.CT QM, the radiology supervisor for NBMA, was instrumental in helping the organization acquire this important certification. Her thirty-four years of experience in the field of radiology along with four months of intense testing and studying contributed to the fact that NBMA is the first health care organization in this area to achieve this designation. To obtain this certification, Donna worked with many technical factors including providing image quality samples, providing computer language system changes, and computing physics ratios for radiation doses.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
